Noah's backpacker hostel in Bondi locked down due to COVID-19

 A backpackers hostel at Bondi Beach in Sydney's east has been placed in lockdown due to COVID-19.

It's not yet known how many people are staying at Noah's in Bondi or whether the outbreak involves the highly-transmissible Omicron strain of the virus.

Police cordoning off the venue yesterday.

Medical staff could be seen taking swabs from guests and staff inside.

  1. It is needed at the moment. Government should take some harsh decision to stop the spread. Omicron virus is way more transmissible and we have to understand it. Hostel manager and police made a good decision to shut it down for some time. Other people inside the backpackers hostel should be tested for the virus.
