Greyhound trainer faces allegations he gave a dog alcohol to fix a race

 A greyhound trainer has appeared in court charged with allegedly giving alcohol to a dog to corrupt the outcome of a race in central western New South Wales.

Augustus Leslie Weekes allegedly gave alcohol to one of his animals before a race then bet $4,000 on a rival dog. 

The 63-year-old was arrested at a property at Larras Lee, north of Molong, last month.

He has been charged with four offences, including using corrupt conduct information to bet on an event.
